Gulden MEHMED graduated from the Faculty of Law, Marmara University. She earned her master’s degree in Private Law and Public Law at Marmara University. After she completed the PhD courses in Public Law at Gazi University, she had her registration frozen as she may not continue two different PhD programs simultaneously. Her doctoral training is currently ongoing in Private Law at Istanbul University. She has been maintaining her professional efforts in the capacity of "partner" at Ozgun Law Office since January 2023. Gulden Mehmed also holds the titles of "trademark attorney" and "mediator".
Focusing her
professional practices mainly on the Labor Law, Consumer Law, Corporate Law,
Law of Contracts, Intellectual and Industrial Property Law, Code of
Obligations, Property Law, Real Estate Law, Administrative and Criminal Law,
she is licensed to act as an expert in Labor Law and Trademark Law.
Having gained
outstanding experiences in follow-up of legal actions arising from white-collar
crimes, drawing up of collective labor agreements and non-disclosure agreements
for employees, and preparation of internal regulations and workplace rules,
settlement of disputes arising from termination of employment contracts, and
holding of trade union negotiations between employees and employers under the
Labor Law, Ms. Mehmed offers comprehensive legal counseling services to Human
Resources departments of major companies regarding Labor Law. She also provides
training to client companies in the field of Labor Law.
Providing legal
support to our clients regarding the Capital Market Law, Ms. Mehmed has
well-established professional know-how and experience in follow-up of
announcements on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), and holding &
supervising general assembly meetings of publicly traded companies, and
represented our client successfully under the legal action worth millions of
dollars filed for lifting the veil of incorporation upon determination of
cross-border fictitious transactions of the executives of the publicly held
companies. She is highly experienced in drawin up of articles of associations
for companies governed by the Capital Market Law, as well as filing and
follow-up of applications, as necessary to that end.
Practicing across
the field of Intellectual and Industrial Property Law, Ms. Mehmed provides
high-level legal counseling services in filing trademark and patent design
applications, filing objections against trademark designs, and filing and
following-up trademark invalidity cases, besides trademark attorney’s services.
She detects violations under the Law on Intellectual and Artistic Works, and
follows up actions for damages and related criminal cases.
Ms. Mehmed has also
extensive experiences across the field of Real Estate Law, especially drawing
up of preliminary contracts for sales of properties, and filing & follow-up
of legal actions due to disputes arising from this type of contracts.
Under the
Administrative Law, she follow-up cancellation and full remedy actions in
relation to refunding of payments of clients exempt from income tax as per the
1st paragraph of the 25th section of the Income Tax Law.
She also follows-up annulment actions for our clients, recommissioned by the
Department of Personnel of the Turkish Air Force Command, successfully.
