Appraisal
report, drawn up by legal persons, is required to be submitted to perform sales
transactions, to which real persons of foreign national are a party as the
buyer or seller, and to buy immovable properties to acquire citizenship.
The
communiqué dated 15.09.2021, promulgated by the Department of Foreign Affairs
of the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre of the Ministry of
Environment and Urbanization, sets out the revised principles and procedures on
the appraisal reports to be drawn up for the transactions to which foreigners
are a party.
As per the
said Communiqué; requests on appraisal reports for transactions, to which
foreigners are a party, may be filed on https://webtapu.tkgm.gov.tr/, the official website of the General
Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, or through the Call Center at 180 if
the owner of the immovable property is a citizen of the Republic of Turkey.
Following
the application, the request for appraisal report will be assigned to the
authorized appraisal organization through artificial intelligence on the same
day by the system upon payment of the service fee on the appraisal report, and
the applicant may not choose the appraisal organization form now on.
The
procedural stages of the request for appraisal report may be followed up
simultaneously on Web Tapu system throughout the entire process.
